Ride the Agafay stone desert

Less than an hour from Marrakech, the Agafay is a rocky, lunar-looking desert of rolling ochre hills with the snow-capped Atlas Mountains on the horizon. On a quad (ATV) you follow open tracks across this landscape — the closest desert adventure to the city.

What to expect

Open-track riding — dirt trails winding through the hills, with a guide leading the way.
Big views — the Agafay plateau, Berber hamlets and the High Atlas backdrop.
Easy automatics — automatic-transmission quads that are simple to handle, with a short briefing first.

Good to know

No riding experience is required — the machines are beginner-friendly and you go at a comfortable pace. Wear closed shoes and sunglasses; helmet and headwear are provided. Late afternoon rides catch the best light. Pair it with a camel ride in Agafay for the full desert afternoon.
