The Almoravid Koubba (Koubba Ba’adiyn) is the oldest surviving monument in Marrakech and the only Almoravid building left in the city, dating to the early 12th century. Small on the outside, it hides a sophisticated interior dome of interlacing arches, floral motifs and calligraphy that influenced Moroccan architecture for centuries.

On Place Ben Youssef in the northern medina, beside the Marrakech Museum and the Ben Youssef Madrasa. About a 12-minute walk north from Jemaa el-Fna.
Opening hours and entrance fee
Open daily, generally 9:00–18:00. The fee is modest — around 20–60 MAD, and it is sometimes included in a combined ticket with the Marrakech Museum. Entrance fees for Marrakech’s monuments are set by Morocco’s Ministry of Culture and reviewed from time to time, so treat any figure as a guide. The current price is posted at the ticket office, tickets are bought on site (bring cash in dirhams — cards are rarely accepted), and children usually pay a reduced rate.
