Le Jardin Secret (The Secret Garden) is a restored 19th-century palace complex in the heart of the medina, opened to visitors in 2016. Behind a plain door on busy Rue Mouassine hide two beautiful gardens — a formal Islamic garden and an exotic garden — plus a tower with rooftop views over the old town.
Where is Le Jardin Secret and how to get there
On Rue Mouassine in the central medina, on the walking route between Jemaa el-Fna and the Ben Youssef quarter. About a 10-minute walk north from the square.
Opening hours and entrance fee
Open daily, generally 9:30–18:00 (later in summer). As of 2025 the garden ticket is about 80–100 MAD (roughly €8–10); climbing the tower is a small extra. Entrance fees for Marrakech’s monuments are set by Morocco’s Ministry of Culture and reviewed from time to time, so treat any figure as a guide. The current price is posted at the ticket office, tickets are bought on site (bring cash in dirhams — cards are rarely accepted), and children usually pay a reduced rate.
